What’s New in VBReFormer Professional 5.4?
-
Enhanced Decompilation Engine: The analysis engine for disassembling and decompiling has been upgraded to recover language structure information more effectively. This improvement makes it possible to decompile simple conditional blocks like If/End If and Do/Loop/While.
-
Event Name Visibility: Event names from controls are now displayed in the code, enhancing readability and ease of navigation.
-
Extended Type Support: We’ve added support for conditions with Variant types and floating-point types (Single and Double) by integrating several new Visual Basic Virtual Machine functions, including
__vbaVarTstEq,__vbaVarTstGe,__vbaVarTstGt,__vbaVarTstLe,__vbaVarTstLt, and__vbaVarTstNe. -
Critical Bug Fix: We’ve resolved a significant issue where VBReFormer would crash when loading an application on Windows XP or fail to display all code from Visual Basic objects due to improper setup of the vb6.old library.
-
New Preference Settings: Customize your experience by choosing to display assembly code, Visual Basic code, or both, according to your preferences.
We hope you enjoy the new features and improvements in VBReFormer Professional 5.4!
